Economic Corridor development in South Asia
Our partners were involved in conceptualizing and implementing the East Coast Economic Corridor (ECEC), India’s longest coastal corridor, spanning four states along India’s eastern coastline. They have also conceptualized economic corridors in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Key activities included:
- Corridor & influence area delineation.
- Assessing current and potential economic activities leveraging value chain linkages
- Identification of industrial-urban agglomerates.
- Development of core and supporting infrastructure.
- Mobilization of financing for the corridor and individual projects.
- Streamlining policies to improve ease of doing business across the corridor.
